Welcome to the Intra-Organizational Networks Conference ION3 home page.
The conference's goals are to encourage the continued development of a vibrant, tighter-knit community among intra-organizational social network researchers. Although most of the invited attendees' main research identities are in intra-organizational networks, we also invite a broader range of scholars from whom to learn. The conference attendance list is kept intentionally short in order to provide the opportunity for meaningful interaction. ION emphasizes discussion through the use of multiple formats, including:
-
Research workshops – papers close to completion that can be circulated in advance of the conference for attendees' comments in an interactive setting
-
Research presentations – presentations on research papers that are not circulated ahead of the conference
-
Early-stage research presentations/discussions – work in a formative stage suitable for small roundtable discussion
-
Dilemma-based/future paths panel discussions and roundtables – researchers bring methodological or conceptual dilemma and future paths for interactive problem-solving
- Keynote address -- to be delivered this year by Joe Galaskiewicz, Professor of Sociology and Public Administration and Policy at the University of Arizona
